Marvel Rivals has received a new wave of permanent account bans after NetEase discovered an increased use of unauthorized tools.

NetEase Games has announced a new wave of penalties for players who used cheats, unauthorized programs, and game client modifications in Marvel Rivals. The studio states that following the last weekend update, there has been an increase in the use of unauthorized tools, which prompted the security team to launch a targeted action against offenders.

According to the official announcement, all accounts confirmed to have used cheats have been permanently banned. NetEase emphasizes that Marvel Rivals relies on a multi-layered anti-cheat system, monitoring suspicious behavior, reviewing past data, and manual checks. In more severe cases, such as repeated offenses, distribution of cheats, or attempts to circumvent penalties, additional measures such as device bans and IP bans may also be implemented.

The studio also dismissed claims that have emerged online suggesting that the anti-cheat can be bypassed using launch parameters. According to NetEase, the anti-cheat runs alongside the game client and cannot be disabled separately, while the disputed parameter merely hides the pop-up window.

A list of permanently banned accounts has also been published, including players from various ranks, such as Bronze, Diamond, Grandmaster, Celestial, and One Above All. NetEase urges players to report suspicious behavior to maintain a fair competitive environment.
