Only two days separate us from the start of the leading regional gaming event Expo Gamers. Opatija will once again become the center of the gaming industry on May 29 and 30, gathering more than 50 international guests, speakers, exhibitors, developers, and artists in a rich two-day program.
The third edition of Expo Gamers brings more than 70 program points: creative and professional workshops, panels, lectures, gaming tournaments, and entertaining fair content at the Marino Cvetković Sports Hall in Opatija.
“We have spoken with our guests who are some of the most important names in the gaming industry, and everyone is eagerly looking forward to coming to Opatija. This year, we planned a strong international program from the start, and the result is truly a top-notch conference program,” said Marta Glažar from the Expo Gamers organization.
Some of the most important names in the contemporary gaming industry are coming to Kvarner, appealing to both professionals and fans and gamers: Larian Studios, Electronic Arts (EA), Supercell, Housemarque, as well as regional giants Mad Head Games, Outfit7, Nanobit, Croteam, and many others.
Special attention is drawn to the honorary guests from the global hit “Baldur’s Gate 3”, actors Tim Downie and Andrew Wincott, and the multiple award-winning composer Borislav Slavov from Larian Studios.
“We are especially proud that Expo Gamers brings world experts to Opatija, but at the same time opens up space for young authors, students, and regional studios to be part of this story,” said Valentina Mišković Yoe from the Expo Gamers organization. The program includes as many as six professional workshops, aimed at students, young creatives, and professionals. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about game art portfolios, illustration, branding, music in video games, and career development in creative industries.
The entertainment part of the program includes esports tournaments in games Valorant, League of Legends, EA Sports FC26, Tekken 8, Gran Turismo, Fortnite, and Trackmania, and the Retro zone with old consoles and games is particularly interesting and always well-attended.
