Bandai Namco and Bandai Namco Aces have confirmed that Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve will be released on October 2, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
The new installment of the long-running aerial action series brings arcade flying, air combat, a campaign with dynamic clouds, and a cinematic portrayal of the pilot's story. Players can expect intense missions, control of combat aircraft, and a new emphasis on the connection with squadron members between missions.
Ace Combat Online has also been announced, described as the largest online gameplay mode in the series' history. In it, players will be able to explore an airbase with their own avatar before entering online missions, with support for cooperative play and cross-platform functionality.
Pre-orders are already available, with the Standard Edition priced at €79.99. The Deluxe Edition costs €99.99 and includes additional cosmetic content, a Premium Ace Pass Plus voucher, and three days of early access starting from September 28, 2026. As a pre-order bonus, players will receive the playable aircraft F-14A and a copy of the game Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.
