This year's Lukovo in Novska will be richer for another content - the Meeting G2 conference, and its 11th edition will be held on October 17 and 18, 2025. The conference connects expatriate Croatia with the Motherland, and it was announced in the Entrepreneurship Incubator PISMO powered by A1 by the mayor of the City of Novska Marija Kušmiš, the president of the Association Meeting G2 Antun Buterin, the director of the Development Agency of the City of Novska Vida Iličić and the vice president of the Association Meeting 2 Ante Lučić.
"Novska is honored to be the host of this conference, it is not easy to connect native and expatriate Croatia, our partners in the organization know this and have been successful in this for 11 years. I am glad that the eleventh conference is being held in Novska when it is an interesting topic - a topic that is buzzing not only in Croatia, but also much more widely, which is aimed at young people, gaming, and Novska, as the host, really has something to say about gaming and to witness how current this topic is among young people and how much and how gaming has changed Novska. Novska is a city that preserves its traditional values, tries to leave young families here in the city, but also looks to the future and modern technologies. Gaming is the one that certainly attracts new and future activities that will change Novska and Croatia. We strive to not only support entrepreneurship, but also to bring back those who left Novska for various reasons, education, work or other interests. a place of life and as a place for creating and expanding a family," said the mayor Kušmiš.
The president of the Meeting 2 Association, Antun Krešimir Buterin, pointed out that Sweden is a kind of partner country of this year's conference: "Our program is not based only on the gaming industry, because it is a narrow niche, but we have built an entire program around gaming that includes various modern technologies: from AI, drones and robotics, to space technologies and IT in agriculture, because Slavonia is, after all, primarily Croatia's breadbasket. Through all these topics and the top 30-40 speakers and panelists, we want to show where Croatia is on the technological map and what its position is We are very happy to bring top speakers to Novska. We invited the deputy mayor of Malmö, Rok Kursar, not only because he is a successful Croat in Sweden, but because Malmö is the largest European center of the gaming industry. Katarina Gospić is a prominent Swedish expert who researches AI and the human brain the ambassador to Sweden, Siniša Grgić, is also an innovative entrepreneur with a number of successful IT projects. Among the international guests, I would like to point out the arrival of the most prominent Croatian in the Argentine government. If we know that Argentina is among the world's largest agricultural producers, we can certainly learn a lot from him, so we can encourage cooperation between us."
Vice President Ante Lučić stressed that the organizers in the first 10 years of the Association's work were mostly, with the exception of Sisak, tied to Zagreb. "With the new concept, we want to move outside of Zagreb, in order to point out the not-so-visible, but attractive investment opportunities in other towns and cities throughout Croatia, such as Novska. We emphasize the promotion of business cooperation between the homeland and expatriate Croatia," he said.
Director of the Development Agency of the City of Novska NORA Vida Iličić emphasized that: "Holding a conference in Novska can contribute to the development of the city, especially entrepreneurship, in several segments. We want to enable the connection of our entrepreneurs with entrepreneurs from the diaspora, through all branches of the economy, in order to achieve cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experiences. Through our panel, we will present the potential of Novska, and the crowning glory would be to get a new investor."
In the first 10 years, the conference gathered 2000 participants from 35 countries of the world. All entrepreneurs and investors and all those interested are invited to get involved because this is an opportunity for new acquaintances, friendships and business collaborations, but above all a conference that unites for the future.
