NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment Lin'an have released a new three-minute story trailer for Blood Message, a cinematic action-adventure with a linear narrative and a strong emphasis on survival. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, and the publisher describes it as the first AAA single-player project from NetEase Games.
The story is set in the year 848, during the late period of the Tang dynasty. Players take on the role of an unnamed messenger who, along with his son, embarks on a dangerous journey eastward to deliver a message crucial to the fate of his homeland.
The trailer “Hold Till Dawn” showcases brutal conflicts, sieges, stealth, and traversing deserts, wilderness, and landscapes inspired by East and Central Asia. Blood Message does not yet have a release date, and it will be playable for journalists for the first time this weekend at the Summer Game Fest 2026 Play Days.
