1047 Games, a studio known for the Splitgate series, has announced EMPULSE, a new first-person multiplayer shooter coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The game is expected to enter early access sometime in 2026.
EMPULSE is designed as a fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter where movement is as important as precise shooting. The action takes place on the post-apocalyptic streets of Freehold, and players will fight for dominance using wall-running back and forth, grappling hooks, Holojump jumps, and P.A.I.N.T. bombs that alter surfaces and open up new tactical possibilities.
A unique feature of the game will be mechs that appear on the maps. Players can take control of them and utilize their heavy weaponry, special abilities, and high durability, while the opposing team will need to cooperate to stop them.
EMPULSE currently does not have a specific release date, but the first screenshots already show a game that clearly aims to combine speed, verticality, and team combat into one very explosive package. Additional information is available on the official website.
