From unusual indie platformers and dark fantasy shooters to relaxing simulations with hamsters, delays of fighting games, and new perspectives on the future of Resident Evil, we have highlighted several titles worth keeping on your radar.

MegaGum: colorful bubble-punk platformer announced for PC

The development team N-Zone announced MegaGum, a 3D bubble-punk platformer that is set to arrive on PC via Steam in early 2027. The game combines action jumping, environmental puzzles, and a story set in an unusual world where chewing gum is much more than just a candy.

At the center of the story is Uja, a teenager trying to uncover what happened to her missing parents. The trail leads her to the industrial complex of Mister Gum, the inventor of a miraculous substance that is used in the game world as a source of energy, building material, and a symbol of hope. Behind the colorful visual identity lies a story of corporate secrets and a system that slowly reveals its true face.

The game relies on fast shoot ’em up action, projectile dodging, and constant upgrades, all set in environments like swamps, forests, gothic cities, and astral planes. In addition to the campaign, an Endless Dungeon mode has been announced, with special attention given to character customization, skills, weapons, and pets. Bracer will also support local cooperative play.

Eternal Palace Sakura: roguelite action coming this fall

The roguelite 3D action game Eternal Palace Sakura has received a tentative release window. The development team Denneko Yuugi confirmed that the game will arrive on PC via Steam this fall, while a demo version is already available.

Eternal Palace Sakura puts players in the role of Retle, a cat-eared heroine with two weapons, who fights her way through a mystical dungeon of dreams. The game emphasizes fast and impactful 3D action, simple controls, anime-stylized characters, and a strengthening system through various items and abilities. Players will be able to combine aggressive attacks, dodging, and defense, while a special Over-Tension system allows for powerful finishing moves.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game delayed to July 23, 2026.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will not be released on July 2, 2026. PM Studios and Gameplay Group International confirmed that the 2D fighting game has been delayed to July 23, 2026, to give the development team additional time to polish and incorporate new content that was not previously planned.

The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, while versions for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 are planned for a later date. Players who pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will be able to participate in beta testing with cross-play support from July 2 to July 5, 2026.

ELDERBORN: VENGEANCE: brutal melee action returns in a new installment

Hyperstrange has announced ELDERBORN: VENGEANCE, a new installment of its first-person melee action game. The title is in development for PC via Steam, but the release date has not yet been announced.

The game continues in the direction of brutal first-person action, focusing on close combat, heavy metal aesthetics, and a fantasy world where players fight through enemies with weapons from hand to hand. The original ELDERBORN was known for its blend of old-school action, soulslike elements, and a fierce pace, and VENGEANCE is currently presented as a return to that metal slasher approach in a new edition.

Resident Evil: Japan is a location Capcom has already considered

Resident Evil has taken us through American cities, European villages, African locations, and other parts of the world over the years, but the main storyline of the series has never fully moved to Japan. According to producer Masato Kumazawa, this idea is something that has been contemplated within Capcom.

Kumazawa stated in an interview with the Japanese media Futaman that he believes almost every Japanese member of the development team has imagined Resident Evil set in Japan at least once. This does not mean that such a game has been officially announced, but it shows that Capcom is not indifferent to the idea of bringing the survival horror atmosphere back to its home ground. Japanese streets, isolated villages, and local urban legends could certainly serve as an interesting backdrop for the future of the series.

Hamster Talk: relaxed social idler with hamsters has arrived on Steam

LINE Games has announced that Hamster Talk, a relaxed social idler with hamsters, has officially launched on Steam. After a demo version presented during February's Steam Next Fest, players can now play the completed version and start building their own little world for their hamster inhabitants.

Hamster Talk features 96 different hamsters that can be unlocked and invited to your town. Players decorate the neighborhood, take care of feeding and cleaning, and try to optimize the daily lives of their little residents. For those who want a break from decorating, there is also the Plaza, a space where they can socialize and chat with other players.
