It's official: Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a huge hit. Publisher Bandai Namco has released early sales figures for this fighting game, and to say it's off to a good start would be an understatement.
In the first 24 hours on the market, the game sold an incredible 3 million copies.
In comparison, the Resident Evil 4 remake took two days to reach the same number, while Street Fighter 6 took more than half a year to reach 3 million copies sold. Even Bandai Namco's Tekken 8 sold 2 million copies in just under three weeks.
This success is not a big surprise. The Dragon Ball series has a huge fan base, and the potential of the game is Sparking! Zero was evident even before its release, when it dominated the pre-order charts.
