Bandai Namco and studio Dimps have officially announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, the new installment of the popular action RPG series, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam). The game is currently planned for release in 2027.
The new adventure takes players to a completely new era known as AGE 1000, marking a significant departure from previous stories and timelines. The story takes place in a futuristic version of West City, where players will once again be able to create their own character and participate in an original story alongside new and familiar characters.
A special emphasis is placed on new characters and the world created under the creative leadership of legendary author Akira Toriyama, which adds extra weight to this project for fans of the series.
Like its predecessors, Xenoverse 3 will retain the recognizable combination of action, RPG elements, and online content, but with a completely new technical foundation and a focus exclusively on current-gen platforms.
So far, not many details about the gameplay have been revealed, but it is clear that Bandai Namco is aiming for the most ambitious sequel in the series to date. More information is expected in the coming months.
