Gaijin Entertainment is proud to present EdenSpark, the first open-source platform which allows independent developers to make their games available to console users - hassle-free and with full ownership of their own code. Closed beta testing starts in November 2025, while it is full edition planned for the year 2026.
EdenSpark gives individual creators easy access to consoles, even if they don't have a registered company or expensive legal documents. Anyone can turn their idea into a game and share it with their friends on PC, PlayStation or Xbox. Unlike closed systems that offer similar experiences, the developers at EdenSpark retain full ownership over their games - they can publish them within the community or publish them independently wherever they want.
The platform is designed to reduced barriers to game development and stimulated the creativity of every gamer who ever dreamed of his own project. Experienced developers can work directly with the code, while beginners can use AI tools to generate art, sound and gameplay logic – or simply create worlds using text commands. Games can be made even on regular consoles, with the keyboard as the only accessory.
EdenSpark launches Dagor Engine, the proven powerful technology behind titles such as War Thunder, Enlisted i Active Matter, which ensures professional performance for projects of any size.
The journey begins in November 2025, when a closed beta begins with access to the first game prototypes and the possibility to transfer your own projects. It will arrive during the summer of 2026 version 1.0 with full AI integration and stable APIs, while it will be released in the fall source code of the PC version and official support for Xbox and PlayStation.
"EdenSpark is not just another game development tool," he said Anton Yudintsev, co-founder of Gaijin Entertainment. "It's the first platform to truly open up consoles to solo developers, while ensuring they remain owners of their games. Whether you want to share a fun prototype with friends or build a serious career, EdenSpark gives you the tools and freedom to do so."
EdenSpark has already been used to create a variety of projects - from charming ones pixel art games and experimental racing titles, to modern shooters with AAA visuals. All of them will be available for download as soon as the closed beta starts.
