During our visit to the Tokyo Game Show today, we had the opportunity to attend a presentation / preview of upcoming games by a publisher from the United Arab Emirates called Red Dunes Games. In the continuation of this article, we present a brief overview of the announced games.

Katuba's Poacher (expected release time: 2026)
Juho Korean solo developer/studio, Joe Yu, shows exceptional talent. "Katuba's Poacher" is a challenge in the style of "boss-rush" with cartoon visuals, which subtly combines elements of roguelite, action and "arcade boss fights". Your goal is to defeat the bosses in battles that unfold like musical performances, brought to life in a hand-drawn 2D fantasy cartoon style.
Blades of Mirage (expected release time: Q4 2026)
A grand epic fantasy isometric RPG adventure set in a Southeast Asian inspired world. As Mira, use the ability to create water weapons and apply your best strategies to defeat the guards and secure the treasures. Explore ancient ruins scattered across unique islands, face corrupt, powerful creatures, and solve complex puzzles to obtain ancient relics.
Zozo and the Lost Dreams (expected release time: 2026)
A light, playful 2D metroidvania platformer about Zozo, a young boy trapped in a dream world. Join Zozio as he explores a bizarre dream world full of unusual characters, unusual enemies, funny stories and surprises that will keep you on your toes. With a beautiful story, witty narratives and a colorful and vibrant world, this is an indie game with great appeal!
Port of Jumanah (expected release time: Q3 2026)
An action-adventure game in 2.5D format with rogue-lite elements, “Port of Jumanah” follows Mansour on a surreal journey beneath the waves. Inspired by the UAE's pearl diving heritage, the game combines fast-paced combat, fairytale storytelling and a richly imagined underwater world full of secrets to uncover.
Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past! (expected release time: ???)
The game was announced at the beginning of this year. This legendary franchise, fully supported by the owners and creators of the original Samurai Pizza Cats TV series! It is one of the most anticipated titles! Take control of the Pizza Cats heroes and stop The Big Cheese from taking over Little Tokyo in this 2D action adventure. Much more information will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show!
Silent Planet Elegy of a Dying World (expected release time: during 2026)
The year is 2997. Arm yourself with Asim's Plasma Sword and master the ancient Psionic Disciplines in Silent Planet, an exploration-focused metroidvania steeped in Gothic Sci-Fi and Cosmic Horror – a blend of genres that seamlessly complement each other to create a game of ripe intrigue! You play as Apranik, and your mission is to travel to the planet Thulcandra in search of a key item: the Angel Egg. Explore the claustrophobic corridors of a vast underground complex filled with the remnants of technological and biological horrors created by a dead civilization.
As you can see, these are independent games of the action genre, colorful graphics and interesting premises that will attract the attention of players around the world. We will certainly follow the development of the titles that impressed us the most!
