Devolver Digital used the PC Gaming Show 2026 to showcase four upcoming releases, along with new trailers, fresh demo versions, and open applications for testing. The focus was on Serious Sam: Shatterverse, Shroom and Gloom, Virtue and a Sledgehammer, and STARSEEKER, covering a wide range of genres from cooperative shooters and roguelike deckbuilders to narrative destruction and space cooperative adventures.
Serious Sam: Shatterverse is being developed by Behaviour Interactive, a studio known for the game Dead by Daylight, and it is a cooperative FPS for five players. The game brings a roguelite approach to the classic Serious Sam formula, featuring changing worlds, upgrades, modifiers, and a hunt for the forces of Mental's army. Shatterverse is set to release later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with applications for the Steam playtest already open.
Shroom and Gloom, developed by Team Lazerbeam, is announced for PC this summer. It is a dark first-person roguelike deckbuilder with a dual card deck, where one is used for combat and the other for dungeon exploration. Players will fight against mushroom enemies, upgrade cards into stronger versions, and create combinations through hand-drawn levels. A new demo version is already available on Steam.
Virtue and a Sledgehammer comes from Deconstructeam, known for games like The Red Strings Club and The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, and the studio Selkie Harbour. The game is set in rural Spain, where the protagonist returns to their hometown and finds people from their past turned into mechanical replicas. Instead of fleeing, the answer is a sledgehammer. It is a narrative exploration game about family, tradition, alienation, and breaking down everything that stands between the character and their past. A demo version is available on Steam, while the release date for PC has yet to be confirmed.
STARSEEKER, a new game from System Era Softworks, a studio known for Astroneer, was showcased through new gameplay emphasizing exploration, combat, terraforming, movement, and astronaut customization. The game will enter Early Access on June 11, 2026, for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. STARSEEKER is a cooperative space adventure where players can collaborate on expeditions, develop equipment, and use the ESS Starseeker as a central, ever-evolving base. A playtest is also active, with details available through the game's official Discord.
