Epic Games has launched a new Cuddles and Chaos event in Fortnite, bringing players new challenges, free cosmetic rewards, and a completely new category of Creative content focused on Sidekicks.
The event is available from July 24 to August 25, and players will be able to complete special tasks and earn rewards during this period. At the same time, Epic Games further introduces Creature Games through the event, a new category of gaming experiences based on the Sidekick mechanic.
Creature Games content can be found in the Discovery section of the Play menu, within the Cuddles and Chaos category.
Unlike the event itself, creator islands will not disappear after the end of Cuddles and Chaos, but will remain permanently available in Fortnite's library.
Sidekicks first appeared in late 2025 as a sort of upgrade to the pet concept that Fortnite previously had in the form of cosmetic additions. Unlike them, Sidekicks have a more active role during matches, following players through the game world, remaining invisible to opponents, and can be further customized with cosmetic items.
Cuddles and Chaos represents a new step in the development of this system. Epic Games now uses Sidekicks not just as an addition to the gaming experience, but builds an entire category of content around them and allows creators to develop their own games based on them.
