Aerosoft and the development studio Chronos North have presented Firefighters Code Red, a new firefighting simulation that will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Players will enter burning buildings alone or in a connected cooperative mode, rescuing trapped civilians and extinguishing fires in over 30 locations inspired by North America. Missions will include house fires, smoke-filled buildings, unstable structures, outdoor fires, and other unpredictable situations where quick assessment of danger and proper task distribution among team members will be necessary.
Fires will dynamically spread through rooms, smoke will hinder movement, and rising temperatures could destabilize structures and close previously accessible exits. The game will include backdrafts, grease fires, electrical and chemical hazards, and chain reactions that can change the course of the intervention. Players will control authentic firefighting vehicles and use hoses, extinguishers, and tools for breaching, searching, and rescuing. Randomly distributed fires, victims, and blocked passages should ensure that the same mission plays out differently upon replaying. The release date has not yet been announced.
