Santa Monica Studios and Sony revealed the release date for God of War Laufey during a special panel at San Diego Comic Con. PlayStation 5 owners will jump into this new exciting adventure on February 17, 2027.

God of War Laufey represents a new experience for veterans, as well as for those who are coming to the series for the first time. Death was supposed to be the end for Kratos' wife and Atreus' mother Laufey (Faye), but she finds herself in an unknown place and embarks on a battle to save those she loves. Along her journey, she will encounter unusual allies, as well as ruthless gods fighting for power in the afterlife.

Santa Monica Studios director Cory Barlog also announced that the next God of War game, in which we will once again play as Kratos, will come after the release of God of War Laufey and will connect to its story.
