On August 26, 2025, Atari entered into a strategic agreement with Ubisoft to acquire the rights to five once popular but recently forgotten titles: Cold Fear (2005), I Am Alive (2012), Child of Eden (2011), Grow Home (2015) and Grow Up (2016). With this move, Atari plans to present these games on new platforms through updated editions, additional content and wider distribution.
Deborah Papiernik, vice president of new business at Atari, noted, "Millions of players have experienced these worlds over the years — now fans will be able to enjoy them again, while new audiences will have the opportunity to discover them for the first time."
The variety of genres is particularly noteworthy: from survival on board (Cold Fear), a post-apocalyptic platformer(I Am Alive), rhythmic shooter (Child of Eden), to adventures with a robot (Grow Home i Grow Up) .
Atari is expected to use its teams like Nightdive Studios for eventual remasters or remakes of these unique titles.
