We checked what new features there are.

Last weekend, the second edition of the virtual gaming fair Endix took place, and our editorial team once again strolled through this space to check out what’s new besides the large number of exhibitors this year.

This year, the Endix island looked larger than last year's, with some new areas added, such as a special section showcasing new additional content for the indie hit Dave the Diver and one reserved for House Flipper 2 Sakura, thematically designed to look like a Japanese house. THQ Nordic once again had its own island this year, but unfortunately, they didn't come with new titles; instead, they brought those from last year (Titan Quest II, Reanimal, Wreckfest 2, Tides of Tomorrow, and Gothic 1 Remake).

Another novelty is the items you can collect throughout the main island, as well as THQ Nordic's. On the latter, you can find seven logos that, when collected, open a special terminal where you can sign up for a raffle in which you can win collector's editions of Gothic 1 Remake and Reanimal or one of the promotional item packages from the company.

One of the more interesting places on the island is Theatrum Obscurum, which was again part of the event this year, allowing players to watch trailers for upcoming indie hits in a cinema designed in a horror style. The main sponsor this year is Alienware, which organized two mini-games where the best players can win one of ten gift cards for Steam worth 50 euros. Unlike the previous edition, we must say that the maze mini-game was much easier this year, as besides the mascot Endi, the Alienware logos helped us find the exit more easily.

The Italian publisher 505 Games was also part of the second edition of Endix, returning with the action game Mightreya. Additionally, a new area of the fair was the press area, where portals were presented, and by scanning a QR code, you are redirected to the page of the selected portal.

This year, Endix once again proved that virtual fairs can be a very good substitute for the real ones you cannot visit, and the list of games featured at the fair certainly deserves to be potential candidates for your backlogs.
