Explore the dark world of the 18th century.

Gothic RPG The Necromancer’s Tale is coming out on June 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2

The Necromancer’s Tale takes players into the dark world of the 18th century, where they assume the role of a nobleman who gradually delves into forbidden rituals, alchemy, and necromancy. Instead of a classic fantasy adventure, the game emphasizes story, social intrigues, diplomacy, blackmail, and decisions that can have long-term consequences.

The PC version has attracted the attention of critics and players, and recently achieved notable success at the Imirt Irish Game Awards 2026, where it won awards for Best Story and Best Technical Achievement, along with second place in the Best Artistic Direction category. It was also a finalist for the international TIGA award.

One of the main strengths of the game is its rich narrative content. The Necromancer’s Tale features over 400,000 words of branching story and more than 180 unique NPC characters, which should provide fans of deep RPG experiences with plenty of room for exploration, decision-making, and shaping their own destiny.

In addition to the narrative aspect, the game includes tactical turn-based combat, where players can use undead minions. For those who want to focus more on the story, there is also an option for automatic resolution of battles.

The Necromancer’s Tale will be released globally on June 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game can already be added to the wishlist on PlayStation 5 and Xbox, while the page for Nintendo Switch 2 will be available later.

Key features of the game include:

  • gothic RPG focused on story and branching decisions

  • use of forbidden rituals and control over the dead

  • social intrigues, diplomacy, blackmail, and dialogues with consequences

  • tactical turn-based combat with undead units

  • over 400,000 words of narrative and more than 180 NPC characters
