The game Ghost of Yōtei for the PlayStation 5 console is receiving a major “New Game+” update on November 24, 2025, announced publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and development team Sucker Punch Productions. After completing the main campaign, players will be able to take on the role of the protagonist Atsu again, retaining all captured upgrades, weapons, and armor — along with additional new difficulty levels.
The update also introduces a new currency “Ghost Flowers,” which unlocks over 30 new cosmetic items (armor sets, weapon colors) and 10 new amulets at a special merchant. Additionally, the game receives replay options after completing the main story, a new post-game statistical display, enhanced accessibility options (remapping directional buttons), and new Photo Mode equipment (e.g., shutter speed, composition grid, filters).
