Microsoft and LG have partnered to make Xbox Cloud Gaming available in cars running LG's webOS-based Automotive Content Platform (ACP). Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to stream games via the Xbox app directly to their in-vehicle screens. The service is intended for use while the electric car is charging or as entertainment for passengers while driving. LG's platform is already used in some Kia EV3 models in Europe, with plans to extend it to the EV4, EV5 and the new Sportage.
With this move, Microsoft further expands its cloud gaming solution, which is already available on mobile devices, PCs and TVs. Xbox's vice president of marketing, Christopher Lee, emphasizes that the partnership with LG represents a new step in offering gamers more choices about where and how they want to play.
