Nintendo has released a new video for the upcoming Star Fox which launches on June 25 for Nintendo Switch 2. The story of Star Fox focuses on the Lylat System, which has been thrown into chaos after the sudden attack by the evil scientist Andross. The last hope for the galaxy is the Star Fox Mercenary Squad, made up of young leader Fox McCloud, skilled pilot Falco Lombardi, engineer Slippy Toad, and veteran Peppy Hare.
The new video gives fans a glimpse of the refreshed tracks, a complete visual design overhaul, and introduces a range of new, as well as familiar, gameplay mechanics. In the campaign, we will traverse various parts of the Lylat System while participating in dangerous missions and uncovering different paths that will gradually reveal the story. The campaign will also feature online co-op where one player will be the pilot and the other the gunner. By using the joy-cons as a mouse, you will also be able to aim and shoot. Challenge mode will offer a mix of challenges and objectives that you can complete when replaying levels from the campaign.
Battle mode brings four-on-four online skirmishes that you can play with friends or random players across three levels. If one person owns a copy of the game, they will be able to play locally with four others via Gameshare or online using Gameshare and GameChat. With a USB camera, you will be able to apply the Fox filter or that of another team member for GameChat.
Now is also a great time to start building your Star Fox playlist, as ten special music performances have been added to Nintendo Music, and you can enjoy them on various devices including tablets, computers, and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Additionally, My Mix can generate playlists based on your previously played titles.
