Shueisha Games and studio SIGONO have announced that OPUS: Prism Peak will be released for PlayStation 5 in 2026. The game was previously released on April 16, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The PlayStation 5 version will be available for testing at the PlayStation booth during the BitSummit PUNCH event, which takes place from May 22 to 24, 2026, in Kyoto.
For readers of the portal who missed our review of the PC version, it should be noted that OPUS: Prism Peak is a narrative adventure with multiple endings in which players take on the role of a weary middle-aged photojournalist. After an accident, he finds himself in an ethereal mountain world beyond reality, where he meets a mysterious girl and tries to find his way back home.
One of the main elements of the game is photography. Players explore the unusual world with an old camera, uncover its secrets, and build relationships with the spirits that inhabit it. Decisions made during the game affect the connections with the characters and what awaits the player at the end of the journey.
OPUS: Prism Peak combines magical realism, a melancholic atmosphere, and an intimate story about loss, memories, and the need to simply let go of certain moments.
