American magazine Entertainment Weekly revealed the first exclusive images from the set of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 2 movie. They can be seen on them Johnny Cage (Karl Urban), Kitana (Adeline Rudolph), Shao Khan (Martyn Ford), Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Jackson "Jax" Briggs (Mechad Brooks) and Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee).
Creator of the series Ed Boon he revealed that in the sequel we will also see some characters who died in the first part, but were brought back to life, he also said that Urban added some of his charm and that his character will be a little different than the one from the video games.
Mortal Kombat 2 will have its premiere October 24, 2025.
