Activision has registered a new trademark for Crash Bandicoot, which has reignited speculation about a possible expansion of the franchise beyond video games. The application covers movies, television programs, animated content, and streaming entertainment.
According to available data, the trademark was filed in October 2025, officially registered earlier this year in Europe, and is active until 2035. Activision has not yet announced a new game, movie, or series, so everything should still be taken as speculation rather than confirmation of a project.
Interest is particularly linked to earlier rumors about an animated Crash Bandicoot series for Netflix. Crash Bandicoot has already made a comeback in recent years through Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
