Nintendo has confirmed that the new Star Fox for Nintendo Switch 2 is being developed by Velan Studios, a team known for the game Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. The studio announced that they are collaborating with Nintendo on the project and that it is an honor for them to work on the return of Fox McCloud and his team.
Along with the confirmation of the development team, a free demo has been released, available now on Nintendo Switch 2. The demo includes an introductory training session and one of the initial missions, Meteo, allowing players to try out how the classic performs in the new edition. Star Fox is set to release on June 25, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2.
