Last week and weekend were marked by major game presentations including State of Play, Summer Game Fest, XBOX Games Showcase, and PC Gaming Show. Nintendo seems to have decided to take a break, announcing their presentation for June 9th, which is tomorrow, and in addition to the standard Direct, there will also be a Treehouse right after.
According to the company, the Direct will last about 50 minutes and will bring us news about indie and AAA titles coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 this year. The Treehouse will last 90 minutes and, unlike the trailer showcase, will provide a slower and deeper look at some of the titles from the Direct. This will also be the first major Direct release in the last nine months since the last release in September 2025, which focused on the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series.
The last Nintendo Treehouse took place on February 24, 2026, where we got 80 minutes of gameplay from Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Pokémon Pokopije.
Nintendo Direct starts at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST.
