With the free combat system update

Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco announced that the new DLC for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO titled Super Limit-Breaking NEO will be released next Thursday (July 30). A new free update will also arrive at that time, introducing a new combat system.

As stated in a special video, Super Limit-Breaking NEO introduces a new single-player mode called Limit Breaker Journey, where players can take their favorite characters and customize and upgrade their abilities through combat. This content also brings new episodic battles, four new levels, and 33 characters from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT.

The combat system update introduces the Sparking! Boost and Chain Blast mechanics. The former allows players to take a larger portion of abilities to execute powerful attacks, while Chain Blast enables an additional attack when you send an opponent into the air.
