The new football game GOALS officially releases on June 4th and will attempt to offer a different approach to virtual football, focusing on fast gameplay, player skill, and a competitive experience. It is a free-to-play title that will support crossplay between PC and consoles, without paywalls and locked modes.
Developers highlight responsive controls, customized physics, and smarter AI to make matches more fluid and competitive. A unique feature of the game will be the player system, where each footballer will be unique, developing over time, reaching peak form, and eventually retiring.
From day one, GOALS also targets the esports scene, with a ranked system, tournaments, and competitive matchmaking. At launch, the game will offer 1v1 matches and solo play against AI, while 2v2 and 5v5 modes are planned for future updates.
