Fatal Fury/Garou Densetsu: The Ultimate History brings 460 pages of history, illustrations, interviews, and archival materials from SNK's fighting series.

Bitmap Books has published Fatal Fury/Garou Densetsu: The Ultimate History, a new book dedicated to one of the most important fighting game series in the history of video games. The book is available in Standard Edition for £34.99 and Collector’s Edition for £54.99.

Fatal Fury, known as Garou Densetsu in Japan, first appeared in 1991 and became one of the key series in the development of the fighting genre. The new release from Bitmap Books provides a comprehensive overview of the series' history, its characters, mechanics, design decisions, and connections to other SNK titles, including The King of Fighters and Art of Fighting.

The book has 460 pages, printed on premium paper using special Pantone ink, and was created with access to SNK's archive of conceptual sketches, promotional illustrations, and covers. It also includes interviews with key creators of the series, including Hitoshi Okamoto, Youichiro Soeda, Nobuyuki Kuroki, Takeshi Kimura, and Yasuyuki Oda, who wrote the foreword.

Fatal Fury/Garou Densetsu: The Ultimate History covers games such as Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition, Fatal Fury: First Contact, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The book contains sprite sheets, screenshots, and conceptual and promotional works by authors such as Shinkiro, TONKO, and Eiji Shiroi.
