During June, many new games, release dates, and additional content were announced, so this is the first in a series of roundup articles where we will highlight interesting titles from the summer wave of gaming announcements. The first overview features several calmer, more colorful, and accessible games, from crafting miniature dioramas to island adventures, running a shop, and the return of beloved characters from the world of Moomin.
Book Nook
WINGS and Malapata Studio announced Book Nook, a relaxing diorama crafting game coming to PC via Steam. The release date has not yet been announced.
Book Nook emphasizes the manual assembly of small spaces, piece by piece. Players will place furniture, decorations, and small details to create little corners full of life, each connected to the story of Dario and Elora. Their relationship will be followed from childhood to old age, through themes of love, family, and the people who stay with us throughout life.
Discounty: People or Profit?
The supermarket life sim Discounty received a free update called People or Profit?. The update is already available for PC, while the release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch is expected in July 2026.
The new story continues after the original game ends, placing players in a position where they must decide the future of the Discounty store and the town of Blomkest. The update brings a branching final mission, three new endings, new characters, city renovations, advanced store devices, the ability to choose goods, random events in the store, and the option to buy a house.
Lou’s Lagoon
Lou’s Lagoon is set to release on August 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. A demo version is already available on PC.
This is a cozy exploration and crafting adventure where players fly around the tropical archipelago of Limbo. After a call for help, the main character comes to find Uncle Lou, but discovers the islands in trouble and Lou missing without a trace. Players will gather resources, repair communities, customize their base, upgrade equipment, personalize their character and plane, and gradually uncover what happened to the missing uncle.
Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit
Spry Fox has confirmed that Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit will arrive on July 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. A demo is available for Xbox and PC.
Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is a sequel to the relaxing life sim adventure where players help bear spirits find peace. After a bus accident, Spirit Scout ends up on a mysterious yet charming island, where through daily tasks, crafting, decorating, fishing, cooking, and exploring, they slowly restore color and life to the camp. The new version brings new characters, animal companions, additional activities, and asynchronous multiplayer with gift exchanges.
Moomin: Midsummer Madness
Moomin: Midsummer Madness has been announced for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It is a point-and-click adventure inspired by the Nordic fantasy world of Tove Jansson.
The game brings a playful summer adventure with the Moomins, where players will explore charming locations, solve puzzles, and meet beloved characters from the favorite literary and animated world. Moomin: Midsummer Madness currently does not have a confirmed release date, but it already stands out as one of the more charming titles for fans of calmer adventures and the classic point-and-click approach.
