Sir Demis Hassabis (48) from Great Britain became the winner of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. Hassabis received the award thanks to the creation of a process for folding proteins with the help of artificial intelligence, but more importantly, he left his mark in the gaming industry, where he worked on the titles: Syndicate (1993), Theme Park (1994) and Black & White.

He was also a part of by Lionhead Studios, whose owner was an industry legend Peter Molyneux, after leaving Lionhead, Demis founded Elixir Studios, which released only two, but very memorable games (Republic: The Revolution and Evil Genius).
