Maximum Entertainment has revealed today that it will present three games from its catalog at Gamescom next month: Overthrown, Bye Sweet Carole and Until Then. Visitors will be able to try out all three games at the Indie Arena Booth from August 20 to 24, 2025. In addition to playing demo versions, players can expect exciting news from Maximum Entertainment throughout Gamescom week.
Overthrown is a chaotic city builder game where you play as a monarch with an ancient crown who steals souls and possesses magical abilities. With her help, build a kingdom in the dangerous wilderness and defend it from mutants and bandits. The best part? You can lift and throw everything you need to build and manage - alone or in cooperation with up to six players! Overthrown is available in Steam Early Access, with the full version coming out later this year.
Bye Sweet Carole is a chilling narrative horror game inspired by classic animated films. Players follow the last clues of Carole Simmons to uncover the dark truth behind Bunny Hall Orphanage. The game combines an animated fairy-tale aesthetic with elements of survival horror and vintage platformers. The game is expected to be released this year.
Until then is a stylized pixel-art adventure that follows high school student Marko Borja as he tries to balance everyday life - school, friends, piano lessons and social networks - with a growing feeling that something is not right. As strange events begin to unfold, Mark finds himself on the brink of mysterious discoveries that will change his life. Until Then is currently available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
