Stormind Games has revealed new details for Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the third installment of the survival horror series Remothered. The studio has released a new atmospheric story trailer that gives players a better look at the plot, environment, and horror inspired by the Italian Giallo tradition.
In the new installment, players will explore a dark monastery where nothing is as it seems. Through a series of disturbing discoveries, hidden secrets, and a warped reality, the goal will be to uncover the truth behind the Red Nun, while merciless Stalkers are on the players' heels.
Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy is announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with a release planned later this year. The game is intended to wrap up the story of the previous two installments, but it is also designed as a standalone experience. This means that new players can jump in without needing to know the earlier games.
Stormind Games emphasizes that storytelling has always been at the core of the series, and the new trailer further deepens the mystery, characters, and horror related to the Red Nun. The game brings a classic third-person survival horror atmosphere, exploration of a large and detailed world, puzzle-solving, and hiding and fleeing from dangerous pursuers, with the ability to defend oneself in critical moments.
One of the more interesting new features is the use of hypnosis, which will allow players to "read" objects, uncover forgotten memories, hidden passages, and new layers of the environment. Special emphasis will also be placed on uncovering the secrets of the Cristo Morente monastery, the place where the terrifying myth of the Red Nun originated.
An impressive cast has also been announced. Cissy Jones, known for her work in The Walking Dead, Life is Strange, and Firewatch, will voice Susan, while Maggie Robertson, best known as Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village, will embody the Red Nun herself. It has also been confirmed that the legendary Akira Yamaoka, known for his work on the Silent Hill series, will compose the music for the game.
