During today's presentation at the Unity Engine conference in Barcelona, it was announced that the well-known tool will join forces with another one, the Unreal Engine of Epic Games. Epic head Tim Sweeny has revealed that all games created in Unity will be able to be published within Fortnite in the near future.
As they say, the goal of this cooperation is to provide more freedom in the development of video games and to ensure that open platforms become the future of gaming.
"Just like in the early days of the Internet, we believe that companies must work together to build an open metaverse in a way that is interoperable and fair. Working with Unity, we help developers create fun games, reach a wider audience and achieve success." Said Sweeny.
