Capcom has confirmed its appearance at Gamescom 2026, where visitors will be able to play Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and Mega Man: Dual Override for the first time publicly.

Capcom has officially confirmed its attendance at Gamescom 2026 and announced its exhibition program for this year's event in Cologne. The publisher will be showcased in Hall 9, at booth A070, where it will have around 60 playable stations in an area larger than 950 square meters.

The biggest attention is expected to be drawn by the public premieres of playable versions of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen and Mega Man: Dual Override. In addition, visitors will be able to try Onimusha: Way of the Sword, as well as Street Fighter 6, which will be accompanied by various esports activities at the fair.

Thus, Capcom comes to Gamescom with a very concrete lineup. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is one of the most anticipated returns from Capcom's rich past, while Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen represents an expansion of the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 and the arrival of the complete experience on Nintendo Switch 2. Mega Man: Dual Override marks the return of the main series after a long hiatus.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set in Kyoto during the early Edo period. Although it is a time of relative peace for Japan, the ancient city is engulfed by a sinister force, and the streets are flooded with demonic beings known as Genma. Players take on the role of a samurai armed with the Oni Gauntlet, in an action-adventure focused on bloody sword fights and supernatural opponents.

The game is set to release on September 25, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expands the original game with new stories, encounters, and content. Capcom states that the expansion was developed based on player feedback after the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2, with three main goals: improved gameplay, expanded adventures, and added value for players.

The version for Nintendo Switch 2 will include the base game Dragon’s Dogma 2 and the Dark Arisen expansion, while Dark Arisen will be available as separate additional content on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.

Mega Man: Dual Override will be the twelfth main installment of the classic Mega Man series. The new action platformer is announced for 2027 and will be released for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Capcom will also have additional programs for visitors during the fair, as well as live broadcasts from Cologne. For the German-speaking audience, daily shows produced and hosted by Rocket Beans TV have been announced.

Gamescom 2026 will take place in Cologne from August 26 to August 30, 2026.
