Lizardcube and SEGA have announced that the action side-scrolling adventure Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24, 2026. Pre-orders are open on the Nintendo eShop and there will also be a physical version that will come with a cartridge.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance first appeared on August 29, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, XBOX Series X/S and XBOX One, and Nintendo Switch. The aforementioned physical version includes additional content SEGA Villains Stage, a set of glowing character cards, an art booklet, a costume and item (Ghost Outfit, Medic Lite Amulet), music, 2000 in-game gold, and much more.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance follows the well-known character from the series, Joe Musashi, who returns home from a new adventure to find his village in flames and his neighbors turned to stone. Driven by revenge, Joe embarks on a journey through diverse areas, battling enemies and bosses.
The game will be available at a price of 30 euros and, as previously mentioned, in both physical and digital versions. The additional content SEGA Villains Stage will pit Joe against Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog), Shimano Goro Majima (Like a Dragon/Yakuza), and Death Adder (Golden Axe).
