The week behind us brought several interesting announcements and updates that may not have been in the spotlight, but certainly deserve mention. From new battlefields of World War II and medieval church politics, to horror games played in front of an audience, the fifth Weekly Review provides a brief overview of news you might have missed.
Enlisted: Operation Neptune
Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software have announced Operation Neptune, a new major update for Enlisted. The main novelty is the Omaha location, inspired by the Allied landings in Normandy, featuring trenches, bunkers, coastal batteries, destroyed urban districts, farms, factories, and warehouses.
The update also brings new weapons and vehicles for multiple armies, including the Soviet SU-122, German Nashorn, Japanese Type 4 90 mm anti-tank gun, and American F7F-1 Tigercat. Operation Neptune also enhances explosions, bullet trails, tank and aircraft destruction, and generally makes battles clearer and more spectacular.
Crusader Kings III: By God Alone
Paradox Interactive has announced By God Alone, a new major expansion for Crusader Kings III, set to release on September 30, 2026. The focus is on the medieval church, religious power, and the political influence of faith, with players able to lead theocracies, including archbishops and even the Pope.
The expansion introduces church councils, heresies, the Great Schism, the College of Cardinals, archdioceses, monastic orders, and dynamic holy sites. Secular rulers will be able to influence church politics, push their own candidates, and use religion as another tool for expanding power. By God Alone will be part of Chapter V content but will also be available for separate purchase at a price of €19.99.
Dark Stream
Skystone Games and RedDeer.Games have presented Dark Stream, a first-person psychological horror about a failed content creator entering an allegedly haunted house to capture another viral moment. The stream is live, the chat follows everything, and the house reacts to both the player and the audience.
The player explores paranormal phenomena, tries to interpret and stabilize them, while wrong decisions make the house increasingly dangerous and unpredictable. A unique feature of the game is Twitch integration, through which viewers can assist, create chaos, or just watch everything fall apart. A demo is already available on Steam.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles
Square Enix has released version 1.5.0 for Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. The update introduces New Game+, a new Zodiac Compatibility feature, and a range of practical improvements for easier management of units, equipment, camera, and menus.
Players can now start a new game with a portion of their progress carried over, check unit compatibility more easily, remove equipment faster, and see the conditions for unlocking jobs more clearly. The Enhanced version now also supports simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, and Korean text.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV Complete Edition
