In the game REKA, you take on the role of a young witch who is a student of the legendary Baba Yaga and embark on an unforgettable journey through beautiful forests, misty swamps, and mysterious villages. REKA combines open-world exploration, building, resource gathering, elements of Slavic folklore, and a mysterious atmosphere into a unique experience full of charm.
During gameplay, you will encounter unusual creatures, help or hinder the local inhabitants, and uncover dark secrets surrounding Baba Yaga herself. The game offers a detailed character editor that allows you to create your own witch, while tamed animals and a living hut on chicken legs accompany you on your journey. This hut is your home that you can build, decorate, and customize down to the smallest detail.
Although REKA is an extremely cozy, charming, and thematically interesting game, occasional optimization issues and some technical shortcomings are noticeable. Despite this, it is a unique adventure that offers relaxed exploration, creative home decoration, magic, and a fairy-tale atmosphere inspired by Slavic legends. If you enjoy such games, REKA is a title that is definitely worth trying. The early access version can be purchased on Steam for €19.99, and the game is currently not announced for consoles, only for PC.
