Capcom has announced that it is withdrawing the Deluxe edition and microtransactions for Dragon's Dogma II from sale. Starting Thursday, June 25, 2026, this edition and various packs will no longer be available on PC and consoles, and the standard version will receive a permanent discount.
As stated by the Japanese company, this move was made to prepare for the release of the recently announced expansion Dark Arise, as well as the development of additional content and adjustments that will be included in the next update.
All content that will be removed includes:
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition
A Boon for Adventurers
Harpysnare Smoke Beacons
Heartfelt Pendant
Ambivalent Rift Incense
Makeshift Gaol Key
Art of Metamorphosis
Portcrystal
Wakestone
500 Rift Crystals
1500 Rift Crystals
2500 Rift Crystals
The listed content will still be usable if purchased before the discontinuation, and two packs, Explorer’s Camping Gear and Music and Sound Collection, will remain on sale.
Dragon's Dogma II Dark Arisen will be released on October 9 for PC, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X/S, and will be available for the first time on Nintendo Switch 2. According to Capcom, the goal of the expansion is to offer better accessibility and additional content that aims to provide a unique experience for veterans as well as those who will play for the first time.
