The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is getting a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2, with a release announced for this calendar year. Nintendo introduced the game with a short announcement trailer, without showing specific gameplay, but confirming that the classic from Nintendo 64 is returning in a new modern edition on the Switch 2 console.
According to the first shown footage, the remake will bring a significantly modernized visual style, with a more realistic depiction compared to the original and earlier remakes. The trailer showcased Link in the opening scene, with narration reminiscent of the beginning of the well-known adventure through Hyrule. Additional information will be revealed later.
