Drumbeats VR brings a different approach to VR rhythm games – instead of the arcade "note hitting," the focus is on simulating real drumming. The game places players behind a virtual drum set where every movement has physical weight, and hits on the drums and cymbals feel natural and convincing. The PlayStation VR2 version further utilizes precise motion tracking, resulting in very responsive controls.

The biggest advantage of the game is the level of immersion. Support for a bass pedal (via compatible pedals) significantly increases authenticity and turns the experience into almost real training for drummers. At the same time, the gameplay is physically demanding and energetic, which further contributes to the feeling of "playing" rather than just gaming.

On the other hand, Drumbeats VR is not without flaws. The content is relatively limited (around 20 songs), and the presentation and "feedback" during gameplay feel underdeveloped. The lack of clear visual indicators of precision can make progress difficult, while audio balance and polish are still not on par with the best VR rhythm games.

In conclusion, Drumbeats VR is very interesting and potentially one of the most realistic drumming VR titles, but for now, it feels more like a niche simulator than a fully rounded hit. Ideal for enthusiasts – others may wish for more content and polish.
