Puzzling Places - 3D Jigsaw Sim immediately struck us as a game that doesn't try to shout for attention but patiently earns it. It is a relaxed 3D puzzle game where we assemble detailed miniature dioramas of real locations from different parts of the world. The game was released on April 9, 2026, and is developed by Realities.io Inc.
What we like most is the simple idea: classic puzzle assembling transformed into a spatial, almost meditative experience. The Steam version features 18 locations, Classic and Journey gameplay modes, support for desktop, Steam Deck, and VR, and the difficulty can be adjusted through puzzles ranging from 25 to 1000 pieces.
Players particularly praise the calm pace, precise piece fitting, clear presentation, and excellent sound design. Many emphasize that VR is the best way to play, but also that the 2D version surprisingly works well. Critiques mainly focus on the number of base puzzles and the price of additional content.
For us, this is a game for evenings when we don't want noise, stress, or competition. Just piece by piece, until everything falls into place.
