The realistic forensic simulator brings criminal case investigations, laboratory analysis of evidence, and collaboration with a real crime lab.

Aerosoft, Binary Impact, and Alchemical Works have announced that Forensics: Crime Scene Detective will be released on July 13, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to the digital edition for consoles, a physical version for PlayStation 5 has also been confirmed. Players can try it out now through a demo version available as part of the Steam Next Fest.

Forensics: Crime Scene Detective offers a realistic approach to criminal investigations, focusing on forensics, evidence analysis, and fact-based reasoning. The game has been developed in collaboration with the German State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate, known as LKA RLP, to accurately depict the work of forensic experts and investigators.

Players will explore apartments, bars, basements, and other locations related to criminal cases, searching for clues that are not always visible at first glance and using professional equipment such as fingerprint powder, DNA swabs, ballistic analysis tools, and digital forensics. The collected evidence is then processed in the laboratory, where it is linked to possible suspects and the actual course of events.

The cases are inspired by real scenarios, and the game emphasizes logic, hypothesis testing, and a scientific approach rather than predetermined conclusions. Every decision can affect the outcome of the investigation, so misinterpretation or overlooking a key clue can lead to wrongful accusations, the release of the guilty party, or an unresolved case.
