Game Outlet Europe, an independent distributor of video games and accessories, has announced the release of the 8BitDo Ultimate 3-Mode controller, in a unique collaboration with Xbox and Rare Ltd.
This new gamepad from 8BitDo's line of premium, carefully crafted controllers starts shipping across Europe on October 31, 2025. It's the first wireless Xbox controller released by 8BitDo, honoring the studio's four-decade history. It is compatible with Xbox Series X/S consoles, Windows PC, Apple and Android devices.
It's designed with a distinctive blue and gold skin, playful silhouettes and hidden Easter eggs, paying tribute to forty years of unforgettable characters and worlds created by Rare Ltd. It comes bundled with an integrated Charging Dock, allowing the controller to stay charged and ready for use, with seamless reconnection when removed from the dock. Three customizable profiles allow players to take full advantage of the controller's interchangeable components and maximize the gaming experience.
The controller is equipped with joysticks with Hall-effect sensors, which reduces the risk of "drift", and classic Xbox-style impulse triggers that provide vibration feedback with each pull of the trigger. It also has an improved tactile feel for the bumper buttons (clicky but smooth) and a gold metal D-pad.
Through 8BitDo Ultimate Software X, it is possible to customize every aspect of the controller in detail — button mapping, joystick and trigger sensitivity, vibration control, and creating macros with any combination of buttons.
