Square Enix has officially announced Evercold, the sixth major expansion for Final Fantasy XIV Online, which is set to arrive in January 2027.
The announcement was revealed during the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Anaheim, where producer and director Naoki Yoshida presented the first teaser trailer. This also marks the beginning of a new major narrative arc titled Godless Realms Saga.
According to initial information, Evercold will once again place players in the role of the Warrior of Light, but this time the adventure leads to the mysterious Fourth, a location that has not been the focus of the game until now. The short teaser offers the first hints of new threats, environments, and a story that will expand the already rich world of the game.
More details about gameplay, new classes, and content are expected in the coming months as the release of the expansion approaches.
