The new edition of the regular column CroBarometar has arrived. This time we checked how domestic video game portals rated Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight!
LEGO Batman: The Legacy of the Dark Knight has succeeded, according to many, in an impossible mission – to make a LEGO game both simple and accessible to everyone, while also being very deep in terms of content, grind, and an original story that recreates the cinematic, animated, and gaming hits of one of the most popular characters in pop culture. We can say that in terms of creating a LEGO game that has its own identity, an absolute ceiling has been reached here, and that anything else would be creating something completely different that just carries this brand's name, and that this should be the standard for such games in the future when creating superhero characters. For us Batman nerds and boomers, this is one of the greatest Batman fanservice things ever, as it truly celebrated the screen legacy of this legendary character and delivered a nostalgia punch in almost every frame of gameplay.
The greatest compliment I can give this game is the fact that after finishing it, I didn't want to play another LEGO game or another Batman game; I wanted more of this Batman, and that is precisely what I believe TT Games aimed to achieve.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight undoubtedly stands out as the ultimate celebration of over eight decades of the Dark Knight's history, wrapped in the most entertaining plastic package we've seen in the last twenty years. Through this title, TT Games delivered a sort of love letter that not only successfully deconstructs the myth of Bruce Wayne as a lone wolf but also brings the faltering LEGO franchise back to the paths of old glory through smart focus and great humor. Although the game suffers from overly easy combat, superficially executed stealth, and occasional technical imperfections, its incredible atmosphere, visual splendor, and infectious charm make it an absolutely unmissable experience. This is a title that will be played with equal enthusiasm by adult nostalgics who remember the first comics and Burton's films, as well as kids who are just entering this blocky world.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight manages to create a fun, accessible, and incredibly nostalgic Batman adventure for all generations.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight succeeds in capturing the spirit of the Arkham games in the LEGO universe in a way that truly works. Gotham is fantastic to explore, the combat system is surprisingly fun, and the humor perfectly balances the darker Batman lore without losing the recognizable LEGO charm.
Although it's a shame that the game doesn't support online co-op, Legacy of the Dark Knight is undoubtedly one of the best LEGO games in recent years.
