The classic strategic board game Stratego will receive a Steam release later in 2026, announced Wanted 5 Games. The game, which has sold over 40 million copies, is moving from the kitchen table to PC, and interested players will be able to try it out on June 11, 2026, when the demo version arrives.
Stratego Online retains the familiar foundation of the original: the goal is to find and capture the opponent's flag, while players secretly arrange their 40 units before the game begins. Each move reveals part of the opponent's strategy, and victory depends on good reading of the opponent, smart army placement, and careful engagement in conflicts.
In addition to classic competition against other players, the digital version brings a single-player campaign with over 15 handcrafted missions set in the Napoleonic era of the 19th century. The game will feature a ranked online system, matches against bots, playing with friends, and cross-platform support between PC, iOS, and Android.
Stratego can already be added to the wishlist on Steam.
