With the 2.0 update

GSC Game World has announced that the expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl - Cost of Hope will be released on August 20. On that day, the 2.0 update will also be released, which will be free and contain new content and improvements as well as a new version of Unreal Engine 5.

The conflict between the two factions Duty and Freedom is escalating and taking a dramatic turn as tensions rise, and the fragile peace appears, the fate of the zone will lose balance. Cost of Hope puts us back in the role of Skif, the protagonist of Heart of Chornobyl, who is drawn into events occurring parallel to the main story by a signal from a mysterious PDA device.

Players are invited to explore new locations, encounter unexpected allies and enemies, discover powerful weapons, and experience a story that will engulf them. We can expect over a hundred hours of content in which our decisions will shape the future of the zone in the new chapter of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. saga.
