The development studio People Can Fly will assist in the development of Gears of War: E-Day, according to a statement from Xbox. This is not the first time the Polish studio has worked on the franchise, as they previously collaborated with Epic on the first three Gears titles and independently on Gears of War: Judgement.
Studio head Sebastian Wojciechowski stated: "Returning to work on the next chapter of the legendary saga is a privilege, but also an opportunity to build a rich and action-packed story that fans of the franchise love. We are also grateful for the trust and support of our partners on this journey."
"Gears of War: E-Day is not just our next big game, but a return to what makes the titles special and authentic. We are excited to collaborate with the talented people at People Can Fly who are an essential part of the legacy," said Mike Crump from The Coalition.
Development producer at People Can Fly, Guillaume Barry added: "Our team, made up of dedicated fans of Gears of War, has put in everything to create an experience that will exceed all expectations. While we can't reveal much yet, we eagerly await the day when we can share more."
