The newly established studio When Tides Turn, led by Criterion Games co-founder Fiona Sperry, has announced the racing title Wreckreation 2. The first part was released in 2025 and was developed by the team at Three Fields Entertainment, published by THQ Nordic. As for the sequel, it will be developed and published by When Tides Turn.
"For the past six months, we have been talking to players about what they want from a modern arcade racing game, and Wreckreation 2 is the result of those conversations. From controls and progression to events and world design, our community has helped shape the key aspects of this experience. We are developing this game with players, not just for them," said Sperry in an official statement.
Wreckreation 2 is set in Heartbreak City, where each neighborhood has its own character, and every road offers you the chance to gain an advantage.
Wreckreation 2 will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X/S, and the release date has not been announced.
